ASCHA hosted the first Canadian Alliance for Seniors Living (CASL) Conference from June 17 - 19, 2010, in Calgary, AB. The event was a success with over 50 participants from across the country. Participation was excellent and many relationships were built. CASL is currently reviewing recommendations and discussion notes from the event and will be sharing next steps with the membership in the fall. What is CASL?
Following the National Seniors’ Housing Think Tank hosted by ORCA in June 2008, it was identified that a national alliance amongst the provinces would be beneficial to engage our members and stakeholders across Canada in the seniors living industry to work together towards common goals. A mission, vision and strategic direction for CASL/ACRA was developed with input from all across Canada. We are excited about maintaining the momentum and look forward to working on national seniors living strategies.
